The Little Mix girls turned their backs when the song “Pretty Girls” was written to be part of their forthcoming album because they didnt think it was up to par.
“We’ve been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, ‘Nope, it’s not good enough,'” group member Jesy Nelson said in an interview with The Sun. “We recorded a whole album but we’re perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again.”
Even though she said the group loved “Pretty Girls,” they decided it didn’t fit their tone, so they offered it to other people.
“We wrote it with Maegan Cottone, who we’ve written a lot of this album with,” Jade Thirlwall added. “We loved the song but it wasn’t really for us so we put it out there and, lo and behold, Britney wanted it.”
So what do you think? Did Little Mix do the right thing by scrapping off the song? And do you think Little Mix’s new single ‘Black Magic’ would do better than Pretty Girls?
