After its launch in February 2005, YouTube has not failed to serve its purpose and has been keeping people from all over the world entertained. Not only does it keep teenagers like me from getting bored to death, it has also been providing budding artists a stage to showcase their talent. Even though majority of the congregations still don’t consider making youtube videos as a full fledged  profession, it requires a lot of hard work and creativity. Not only does it pay people, it has also helped people land record and movie deals. Many celebrities like justin bieber and 5 seconds of summer, who have now gained an international fanbase have their roots from youtube. Following is the list of youtube cover artists who are now ruling youtube  with millions of subscribers. The list is in no particular order because lets face it, we cannot choose the best one when all of them are insanely talented.

• KURT HUGO SCHNIEDER

With over 5.5 million subscribers, Kurt Hugo Schnieder has consistently been providing people with an amazing set of covers and original songs. Though we don’t see him singing in most of his videos, he always surprises his viewers with some amazing production. He can play a number of instruments and usually comes up with innovative ways to  produce music. he is known to make a six figure salary from his YouTube channel. some of his most popular videos include :”just a dream ft. She started her youtube channel in 2007 and since then she has uploaded 72 videos on her channel including many original compositions.She has also collaborated with artists like John Legend and Kurt Hugo Schnieder.

Boyce Avenue is an American band consisting of three brothers: Alejandro Luis Manzano, Daniel Enrique Manzano and Fabian Rafael Manzano. the band has gained over  7 million subscribers since it was formed in 2007. They have collaborated with many artists like KHS ,Alex G, Fifth Harmony, Hannah Trigwell and many more. The band has uploaded a total of 254 videos and has also toured through Europe, Austrailia and Canada. They even opened several shows for one direction in january 2012. Needless to say, most of their shows were sold out.

The five piece group has managed to garner over 3.8 million subscribers with a total of 55 videos. The group includes Jon Schmidt,Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson and Al van der Beek  and is renowned for its piano and cello covers. A thousand years by Christina Perri and What makes you beautiful by One direction are some of the most viewed covers uploaded by them.The guys have a intriguing and magnetic style of creation and surely deserve all the fame that they have come across.

Sam Tsui rose to internet fame by covering songs from artists like Adele, Taylor Swift, Britney spears and Justin Bieber. His channel has been growing consistently since he uploaded his first video. He has collaborated with artists like KHS, Christina Grimmie and Alex G. With over 2 million subscribers, Sam Tsui never failed to entertain his viewers.

She is known for participating in The Voice and and making it to the third position much to the dismay of many people. His videos have reached as much as 3 million views and he has collaborated with artists like Cody Simpsons. He has a second channel where he uploads his vlogs and behind  the scenes.

With over 2 million subscribers, Tiffany Alvord is yet another promising artist amidst the other immensely  talented ones.According to Wikipedia (yes , I admit) she one of YouTube’s first “home grown celebrities”. With her husky voice and soft vocals, she has managed to captivate a lot of music lovers.

Cimorelli is made up of six sisters: Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, Lauren and Dani  . Starting off in 2007, the six piece group has been a constant favorite  of many young people. They have launched several EP’s and songs along with their covers which helped them land a record deal. They had even won the teen choice award in 2013.
