Sexiest Prison Inmate ever: Stella Carlin aka Ruby Rose

I wonder how it feel likes to be Ruby Rose right now. Knowing that every gay, straight, girl, boy, animal, sack, paper, LEGO wants to bang you.

It’s only a matter of time before YouTube will be filled with Ruby Rose makeup video’s, cause who doesn’t wanna recreate those amazing cheekbones and lush lips? This Youtube make-up guru Kandee Johnson loves Litchfield’s newest inmate just as much as I do.

In her most recent video, the makeup artist took on her subscribers’ challenge to transform herself into Australian actress and “Orange Is The New Black” newbie, Ruby Rose aka The New Mr. Steal Yo girl. (Major girl crush right now 😍 #RubyRose #crushing #hot #OITNB )

In less than two minutes,  the 36-year-old shows all her steps to becoming Rose’s character, Stella Carlin. From her eyebrows to her lips, everything about her transformation is on point. Kandee also added a tattoo with mascara and used lines to give the illusion of shaved hair for added effect. And if you thought the two looked similar before, just wait to see the end result of her makeup magic.

That wink though ❤ She is also the real doppelganger of young Leonardo DiCaprio.

Ruby Rose on her short hair:

I remember when I interviewed John Mayer [for The Project] and he kept stopping the interview to ask why I’d cut my hair, and he said, ‘I just think you’re hiding from your true beauty’ and it was the weirdest interview. He kept trying to find this deep, subconscious thing and I was like, ‘I just like it short dude!’

What always lurking in her bag??

I have Brow Drama in my bag all the time; always got Baby Lips because my lips are always dry from all the travelling … Sometimes I’ll have either a mask or something like that in there just in case I’m staying in a hotel or something. Or if I’m flying, I’ll keep some masks or an 8 hour cream in there to keep my face hydrated. I don’t keep a full beauty bag in my handbag. It gets too heavy.

That was Ruby Rose Edition. Hope you liked it. Follow me on twitter: Sagarika_1d

Get the look: Sophia Smith Style

Sophia Smith “get the look” on “Class of 92” London Premiere on the 1st of December.

                                                     Sophiam ❤

To achieve Sophia’s look, follow these steps:

1– To get your skin ready for the make up, make sure you apply some primer (I recommend smashbox because it is so light and is transparent)

2- Once your primer is set, apply your foundation in circular motions with a brush. (I recommend the Make up For ever because it is perfect as it is HD and your skin will look perfect in pictures!)

3– After the foundation, get a bigger brush and apply translucent powder or if you prefer, a coloured one but make sure it is close to your skin colour. (You can get any you want or just the one that adapts to your skin because even a Maybelline powder is good!)

4– To complete the face make up, to add a little contouring and colour, you want to make sure you apply some blush. To get Sophia’s look, you will only need to apply it to the apples of your cheek very lightly. (For this, I recommend NARS because it is just amazing and it looks pretty close to Sophia’s colour)

5– For the eyes, Sophia was wearing a smoke eye which was beautifully done. For that, you may use separate colors but if you prefer you may use a Smokey eye palette. (I recommend Topshop Smokey Eye palette which is good and the price is very affordable).

6– After your eye shadow, make sure you add an eyebrow pencil or palette on them to shape your face and make your eyes also stand out. On the eyebrows, you have to make sure you don’t add ANY colour, make sure you use a colour that matches closely to your hair for a natural look. (With that, I recommend the Shisiedo eyebrow styling palette because it has different shades and it is so good!)

7– A girl can never go out without mascara right?! Sophia, on this event, was wearing little mascara yet, it looked very natural and effective. I think she done that to make her eye stand out.

8– To completely finish your look, and the last step you will do, is the lipstick. Sophia was wearing a peachy/nude color just to not go plain, yet, she didn’t go outrageous with like a red or a pink. (With that, I recommend Mac Tanarama lipstick for that exact effect).

Love Sophia’s style!!! I will do a post on Eleanor Calder Style too.

How to dress if you are fat or over weight

Being overweight doesn’t mean you can’t look fabulous! Let me tell you a truth about myself, I’m not slim like my friends. In last 3 months, I have gain weigh. I was never slim like all my friends . I was your average looking girl who used to have confidence, even though I wasn’t slim. All my class mates used to mock and called me names behind my back but i just ‘shake it off’. Even my friends had a nickname for me because I was fat. But the good thing was that I was one of the popular students in my school. See, being fat/ over weight doesn’t mean you can’t be fashionable, popular or smart.

Present scenario is that I have gained more weight than before and my mum and always always mock me and call me names which make me feel so unattractive and I have lose my confidence 😦 and believe me, there are many girls out there who feels the same. Last month, I went to my ancestral house and met my relatives after 2 years and the first thing they said, ” Beta, you have became so fat and chubby *laugh* “ Fuck you, I don’t care. I’m fucking awesome. I’m not fat. It just awesomeness swelling inside me.

So, back to the topic. Being overweight doesn’t mean you can’t look fabulous! All it takes is a little know-how and a healthy dose of confidence. Looking good is not about the number on your clothing tags, but about dressing yourself in a way that makes you feel comfortable and shows off your features. It’s time to use fashion to make the most of your curves.

1. Know the basics of how to accentuate or hide certain areas of your body.

The colors, cut and patterns you wear can draw people’s eyes toward or away from your figure.         Here are some basics:
Dark colors hide, while light colors highlight. So if you like your waist, wear a light belt over a dark shirt. If you want to hide your bottom half, wear dark pants and a lighter top.
Big patterns will make you look bigger, while small patterns can make you look smaller.

2.Do not settle for less than fashionable clothes .

Yes, it is harder to dress in the latest styles when designers base their designs around scrawny models. However, many designers are now taking plus-sized women into account.

Avoid horizontal stripes. Stripes are okay on plus size clothing if they are diagonal or vertical. If you want to look larger in the bust area, horizontal stripes will enhance the bustline.

Be very careful with leggings. For some women, a long shirt or dress with leggings is a slimming and fashionable look. However, if you have larger hips, thighs, or bottom, it can look awful.

For women, skip spaghetti-strap or halter tops. You’ll want your shirt to cover your bra straps, and they might be wide.

Wear full-length cardigans and jackets – don’t opt for cropped lengths.

3.Get several pairs of opaque tights.

They smooth out the line from the waist to the knee, and ensure there’s no chafing if you’re rushing around in the warm.

4. Choose your bottom half.
a.Pears should avoid trousers unless they are doing the gardening, and favour calf-length skirts, either A-line or gathered to a dropped waistband. Pears should avoid full-length skirts, which carry the broadness of the hips right down to the floor, and give the impression of a walking door.

b.Apples should wear a nicely-tailored pair of trousers (without pleats at the waistband, which add bulk to the stomach), well-fitting jeans, or pencil skirts that fall to just below the knee.

5.Choose your top half.
a.Pears should wear a top that reaches far enough down the body not to ride up when the arms are raised, and that fit well to display a small waist. A cardigan with one or two buttons done up over a pretty vest, a fitted shirt, or a snug jersey top with a deep V neck all look fabulous with a calf-length skirt.
b.Apples should wear some of the beautiful smocks and tunics that are in fashion at the moment. The gorgeous colours and swathes of fabric do a marvellous job of covering up any rolls or bulk around the stomach area, and leave slender legs looking even better in snug jeans, trousers, or sturdy leggings

6.Add accessories and shoes.

There is no excuse for an overweight woman not to have a wardrobe full of the most beautiful and unusual accessories around. Very slim women are often swamped by some of the most extravagant jewelry that look wonderful on bigger women. The fashion for large chunky beads is useful – you should avoid delicate diamond jewellery. Not only is it naff, it will be entirely lost on you. A big bag can make you look smaller, simply by not appearing tiny next to your bottom. 2 or 3 chunky bangles will make a plump wrist appear slender. Wearing long dangly earrings will elongate the neck.
Pears should have a supply of boots – Evans is the best shop for wide-fitting calves. A good pair of boots makes wearing a skirts a positive joy.
Apples can wear kitten heels or stilettos. Pears, with their heavy legs and ankles, should avoid at all costs: it merely looks as if you are about to fall over, or sink into the floor. A wedge heel, on the other hand, looks marvelous, however stout your legs are.

Last but not least, be confidence in how you look. CONFIDENCE is the new normal. Make this your motto. You are you for a reason and no one can take that away from you. I am sure you look beautiful anyway but try some of the tips above to go all out.

Some other tips:

  • Life is too short to be miserable. Everyone has flaws. Your appearance means a lot more than your size, so embrace yourself and always wear a smile!
  • Don’t wear clothing that is too tight/small. It will make you look even bigger. But at the same time, don’t wear clothes that are too baggy.
  • Be well groomed. A size 20 woman who smells discreetly of Chanel, has a lovely manicure, sits elegantly, and sports a lush, glossy head of hair, will win out every time over a skinny girl who looks like she needs a shower.
  • Stand straight and walk with grace. Walking with your head down and stomping heavily will only make you radiate your thickness.
  • Remember, it’s the inside that counts. Learn to love yourself first and the outfit is the icing on the cake.

This is my cue to say adios till tomorrow. I hope, you like this blog post. I love you all. Fat or not, you are still beautiful babe. xoxo

Homemade deodorant using coconut oil

Yes. You read the title right. Let’s be clear: I don’t typically run around my kitchen wiping random products from my cupboard on my underarms in hopes of something magical happening. You see, I’m very particular when it comes to my underarms. I like them to be soft, hair-free and un-smelly. Clearly, I’m not alone in my armpit goals. What that means, though, is that when I find something that works, I tend not to stray from the procedure.

Well, the recipe below is a winner. After we have put it to the test. After long, hot days of going to various colleges and institutes for admission, I still don’t stink (I have done the sniff test on multiple occasions and have been amazed). Even normal deodorant wears off, but this stuff doesn’t. I am a little in awe of how well it works.

It takes a little bit of getting used to the application process, but it totally works. Not to mention the money I save and the chemicals I avoid, like aluminum. Although, there’s no solid evidence that aluminum-based compounds lead to cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

3 Tablespoon  Coconut Oil

3 Tspn  Baking Soda
2 Tspn  Shea Butter
2 Tspn   Arrowroot (optional)
Essential Oils (optional)

1. Melt shea butter and coconut oil in a double boiler over medium heat until barely melted.

UPDATE: Combine in a quart size glass mason jar with a lid instead and place this in a small saucepan of water until melted. This will save your bowl and you can just designate this jar for these type of projects and not even need to wash it out…
2. Remove from heat and add baking soda and arrowroot (If you don’t have arrowroot, use more baking soda)
3.Mix well
4.Add essential oils and pour into a glass container for storage. It does not need to be stored in the fridge.
5. If you prefer, you can let it cool completely and put into an old deodorant stick for easier use, though it may melt in the summer!

NOTE: Some suggestions would be to add some baking soda and cornstarch. The baking soda will help a bit with the odor and upping the ph will help to hinder bacterial growth, but the cornstarch will start to get “cakey” (is that a word?). So mix about 10-20% into some coconut oil and enjoy less sweat without the caking.
Also a bit of fair warning, for safety spoon this stuff out and then apply, because dipping your fingers back into a jar after you wiped it all over you pits is a recipe for some growth.

Do you want to get rid of dark armpit??? Some of the main causes of dark underarms are shaving, regular use of hair removing creams, excessive sweating, poor ventilation of underarms, accumulation of dead skin cells, and use of alcohol-based deodorants and antiperspirants.

Coconut oil is another good option to get rid of dark underarms. Coconut oil contains vitamin E that can help lighten the underarms. At the same time, it will also work as an effective natural deodorant.

Massage the dark underarms with coconut oil.
Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.
Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water.
Repeat two or three times daily until you achieve the desired results.

Beauty Hacks using Vaseline

Vaseline is a petroleum-based gel commonly used in home remedies, beauty routines, and in a variety of household projects. While there are a lot of misconceptions about what Vaseline is and isn’t good for, learning when it’s appropriate and when it’s inappropriate to use Vaseline will make sure you get all the benefits and none of the drawbacks of using this product. The affordable drug store product has been around 100 years or so.

Here are the 10 surprising beauty hacks using Vaseline:

1. Keep perfume from fading. Rub Vaseline on your wrists and behind your ears to make your perfume last longer.

2. Soothe dry heels. Summer sandals plus the sun and sand can make the skin on your feet super dry and flakey. Spread Vaseline on your feet before you go to bed, and cover with fuzzy socks. You’ll wake up with soft skin that will look and feel like you got a pedicure.

3. Perfect your mani. Line your nails with Vaseline before you paint them. The jelly will keep polish from spreading outside your nail.

4.Use a touch of Vaseline mixed with powder eyeshadow pigment to make new colors. Or, use it for a more solid eyeshadow that won’t get all over your face when you put it on. Some people like to apply Vaseline under eye shadow to create a shiny effect.

5.Vaseline can be used to tame unruly eyebrows, by brushing a small amount across them. Similarly, you can use Vaseline to define your lashes and leave them with a glossy and waterproof look

6. Apply a thin coat to your eyelashes before you go to bed. While unproven, many people think that Vaseline may help your eyelashes grow longer and thicker over time.

7. Hide split ends. If your hair looks totally fried, rub a little Vaseline through your ends. You can fake smooth ends until you get a haircut.

8. DIY a lip stain. Mix a packet of Kool-Aid (like cherry!) with a tablespoon of Vaseline. When you apply it to your lips, the balm will give you a red lip that lasts.

9. Use Vaseline as a mask around the hairline when dyeing hair. It can protect against harmful hair dyeing, perming and straightening chemicals.

10. Put pierced earrings in more easily. You know how when you haven’t worn earrings for a while, it can be hard to get them through the hole? Sometimes, it hurts! Rub Vaseline on your lobes, and you’ll have a much easier time.
